Minutes Special Budget Supervisors

Board of Supervisor Budget Meeting, Wednesday September 28, 2022

A budget meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Sadsbury Township was conducted on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 commencing at 9:00 a.m.  Chairman, Mr. Reynolds called the meeting to order, Present was Supervisor Mr. Moore and Supervisor Mr. Taylor via telephone.  Accountants Chris Herr and Dan Niehls, Township Treasurer, Tammy Russell were also in attendance.

Tammy Russell reported that she just received updated numbers from Chief Hawley and the Public Works Department.

The Administration Office only requested to have a shredding event and a new scanner.

As far as Codes, the retired police car will be a Township vehicle and also for Codes use.  There will need to be a fill-in from Codes Inspection for vacation periods.

The Public Works needs a small pick-up truck with a plow to work around the Township and plow tight streets, at a cost of $150,000.

Mr. Reynolds requested a list of seasonal employees for the next Board of Supervisors meeting.

Mr. Reynolds will have a talk with Township Solicitor about the $100,000 yearly contribution from Sadsbury Commons to the Police Department for police coverage and when it will take effect.

As things look now, there will be a 1 Mill across the board tax increase.

The next budget meeting will be Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.

With there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
