Board of Supervisors

Overview

Sadsbury Township is governed by a three-member Board of Supervisors.  The Supervisors are elected at large for staggered six-year terms and at the annual reorganization meeting in January select a Chairman and Vice Chairman.  As enacted in the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code, the Board is charged with the general governance of the Township, setting policy to ensure sound fiscal management and to secure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens.

The Board is responsible for the appointment of the Township Manager, Police Chief and volunteers to the various Boards and Commissions of the Township.  The Board also appoints professionals to provide legal and technical counsel.
