Sadsbury Township Planning Commission, September 14, 2011

The monthly meeting for the Planning Commission of Sadsbury Township was held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 commencing at 7:00 p.m. Chair Jane Heineman called the meeting to order. Present were members Tom Greenfield, Tim Sarbaum, Carlyle Rivers, and Supervisor liaison, Courtney Sarbaum. Susan Franco and John Lymberis were absent.

A moment of silence and pledge of allegiance were observed.

A motion was made by Tom Greenfield and seconded by Carlyle Rivers to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. With there being no questions, the members voting “aye”, the motion passed.

Old Business: The Planning Commission is waiting on a clean letter from MacCombie’s office regarding Art Herling’s request to subdivide an existing developed lot into two parcels to allow the construction of another single family dwelling on the North side of Maple Avenue west of Old Wilmington Road. Ms. Heineman asked Linda Shank to check with Lisa Myers, Township Secretary/Treasurer, concerning the clock date for Mr. Herling.

The Planning Commission reviewed the proposed changes to Section 1106 of Article XI (Overlay Districts) of the Sadsbury Township Zoning Ordinance. Changes made to return Village Development Overlay District 1 to Section 1106.

Some differences were found in the Public Notice and the proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance. These differences have been noted and will be brought to the attention of Lamb, McErlane law firm by Linda Shank.

A motion was made by Tom Greenfield and seconded by Tim Sarbaum to recommend to the Board of Supervisors that they adopt the proposed changes to Section 1106 of Article XI (Overlay District) of the Sadsbury Township Zoning Ordinance. Changes made to return Village Development Overlay District 1 to Section 1106. With there being no questions, the members voting “aye”, the motion passed.

With there being no further business, Tom Greenfield made a motion seconded by Carlyle Rivers to adjourn the meeting. With there being no questions, the members voting “aye”, the motion passed.
