KVFD Featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer!

KVFD LogoWhile covering the Chester County Commissioners’ meeting last month at the Parkesburg Borough Hall, staff writer Michaelle Bond was introduced to the KVFD.

That introduction led to an interview with Chief Raymond Stackhouse and subsequent attendance at training session to observe and interview other department members.

Memorial Day 2014 – Township Business Office Closed

Memorial Day - Arlington National 2The Sadsbury Township Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2014 in observance of Memorial Day.

Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

NOTE:  As this IS a major holiday observed by Eagle Disposal, trash and recycling pick-up will occur on Saturday, May 31st.

 NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Sadsbury Township will continue a public hearing at 7:00 P.M., on May 6, 2014, at the Sadsbury Township Municipal Building located at 2920 Lincoln Highway, Sadsburyville PA, 19369, to consider the following application for conditional use:

No. C-1-14  Application of Benjamin S. Stoltzfus for conditional use approval pursuant to Sections 402.C.6 and 1205C.3(a) & (k) of the Sadsbury Township Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to conduct soy meal sales as a “secondary farm family business” on the property located at 363 Compass Road. The property in question is also known as UPI (tax parcel) no. 37-1-18.5. The property consists of a 42-acre dairy farm, and is located in the RR, Rural Residential Zoning District, which permits by conditional use as a secondary farm family business other uses of similar character to sales of seeds, chemicals, and fertilizers.

Sadsbury Township Business Office Closed for President’s Day

Presidents' DayThe Sadsbury Township Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2014 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.

NOTE:  As this is NOT a  observed by Eagle Disposal, trash and recycling pick-up will occur on its regular day, Friday, February 21, 2014.

Time Is Running Out…

Reminder Post ItDon’t forget that all monies for 2013 trash bills are due by December 31st!

After the 31st, all outstanding balances are assessed at 10% penalty for late payment (example:  $247.00 annual invoice becomes $271.70 on January 1, 2014).  Reminder letters will be sent out via certified mail in mid-January, at which point the cost increases by another $25.00 (example:  that same $247.00 is now $296.70).

Checks should be made payable to the Sadsbury Township Trash Fund and can be mailed to PO Box 261, Sadsburyville, PA  19369.  If you need a new copy of your 2013 bill, please do not hesitate to contact the Business Office at (610) 857-9503 or via e-mail at sadsburytownship@comcast.net.
